ISTANBUL- Human rights activist Ilknur Üstün, who was detained in Istanbul’s Büyükada Island along with other activists and then released under judicial control, has been detained again.
Yesterday, an arrest warrant was issued for human rights defenders lknur Üstün, Nalan Erkem, Nejat Taştan and Şeyhmus Özbekli, who were released on Monday under judicial control. After the detention of Nalan Erkem, Ilknur Üstün has been also detained.
According to the Bianet, police raided the home of Nalan Erkem last night and the home of Ilknur Üstün today in the morning.
Sabah Daily, known as close to the ruling party, announced that “an arrest warrant” was issued for the released four human rights defenders. The lawyers of the human rights defenders said they didn’t have such kind of information.
