ISTANBUL – Police raided the office of Sendika.org in the morning. Sendika.org Editor Ali Ergin has been taken into custody on charges of “not showing ‘Yes’ as legitimate”.
Police raided the office of Sendika.org at 5.45 a.m. on the ground that an arrest warrant issued aganst Sendika.org Editor Ali Engin Demirhan. After the search of the office, police detained Ali Engin Demirhan on charges of “trying to not showing the referendum result as legitimate, organizing the protest on social media, inciting hatred and hostility among the public.”
Ali Engin’s computer, hard disk and mobile phone have been seized and he has been taken to Police Headquarters.
