HDP’s referendum song ‘Bêjin Na’ banned throughout Turkey

MERSİN – HDP’s referendum song “Bêjin Na” has been banned throughout Turkey by the Criminal Court of Peace in Mersin. It is claimed that the Kurdish words in the song, “No to one flag, No to one nation, No to one language” are contrary to the constitution.

The song “Bêjin Na” has been composed by singer Seyda Perinçek for the campaign of the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) has been banned throughout Turkey by the Criminal Court of Peace in Mersin. The court states that the song is contrary to the first 3 articles of the Constitution for saying “No” to the words “One flag, one state, one nation” used by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
