Founded on March 8, JINHA enters 6th year

NEWS CENTER- The world’s first and only all-women’s news agency JINHA, founded on March 8, 2012, has entered the 6th year today.

JINHA Women’s News Agency was founded on March 8, 2012 in Diyarbakır by female journalists in order to form women’s discourse against masculine media and to create a space for female journalists. Today JINHA has entered the 6th year.

JINHA, the world’s first and only women’s news agency, united the women’s discourses of the women like Virginia Woolf and Emma Goldman with the legacy taken from the female journalists such as Ayfer Serçe, Gurbetelli Ersöz and Evrim Alataş. Being the voice of all women from all over the world for five years, JINHA was shut down on October 29, 2016 by KHK decree issued by misogynist ruling power.

JINHA began its journey saying, “And we write… We write without thinking what men will say” and JINHA said to those who shut down JINHA by KHK decree that, “We will continue to write without thinking what men will decree”.

Women and female journalists continue to raise the voice of women saying, “JINHA cannot be silenced”.
