Leyla Güven: Everyone should go to Xerabê Bava village

MARDİN – The delegation headed for Xerabê Bava has been stopped once more time. “We are calling from here; everyone, who says ‘I love my people, my homeland’ and fights for human rights, should take the road for this besieged village,” said Leyla Güven, Co-chair of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK).

A delegation consists of members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and Peace Mothers headed for the Xerabê Bava village of Mardin’s Nusaybin district. The delegation has been stopped once more time. DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven made a statement there and reminded of news said that the houses were burned and destroyed and the people were killed in the village and she said, “Ambulances passed from here while we were making this statement.”

Indicating that they were in touch with authorities to go to the village but they hadn’t received any response yet, Leyla said, “We are calling from here; everyone, who says ‘I love my people, my homeland’ and fights for human rights, should take the road for this besieged village. If they don’t come, the massacres will continue. We have to reach our people under blockade.”
