Dismissed Architect Alev Şahin: I want my job back

ANKARA – Architect Alev Şahin, who has been dismissed from her job by KHK decree in Düzce, stages a sit down protest saying, “I want my job back” and states that she will continue her protest until she get a result.

Architect Alev Şahin, who worked for Department of Environment and Urbanization in Düzce, is one of laborers, who have been dismissed from their job by KHK decree. Alev had been exiled for three times in six years and she was subjected to mobbing. Alev has been dismissed from her job by KHK decree issued on January 6, 2017. She stages a sit down protest in the city center of Düzce and says “I want my job back”. She hopes she gets her job back and displays the ongoing unlawfulness in this way.

‘Don’t bow to the persecution’

Alev, who has staged the sit down protest since January 30, spoke to Dihaber what she faced in Ankara where she came to in order to support academic Nuriye Gülmen and teacher Semih Özakça, who have been dismissed from their job. Alev told Dihaber, “Don’t bow to the persecution. These attacks are the attacks against human dignity. Uniformity should be secured against all attacks.”

‘I will continue my protest’

Noting that Düzce people haven’t left her alone since she started her protest, Alev said, “I will continue my protest until I get my job back. I will continue to ask my job back.”
