Reconstruction Committee of the Communes held a meeting in the Salihli Neighborhood of Hesekê city and the SYPG members gave information to the people about the campaign and federation system.

‘Our organized power causes all balances to change’

The banner read “Organize in communes, protect the federation” prepared by the SYPG was hanged in place the meeting held. The meeting began with a minute’s silence for those who lost their lives in Rojava Revolution. In the opening speech on behalf of the communes, it was told, “The more the people organize, and our communes work, the more our struggle for federation and revolution develops.”

Speaking on behalf of SYPG on the communes and the federation, Şoreş Amed said, “Our organized power causes all balances to change in Syria.” Şoreş stated that women and men carried out the same work in Hesekê and conveyed their observation during home visits as follows: “When we entered a home, our male friend went directly to watch TV and our female friend went to the kitchen. A man, who talks about freedom during the works, became a sultanate at home. He asked food from the female friend from where he was sitting although he hasn’t the right to. We want to spread the campaign “Organize in communes, protect the federation” to all streets of Hesekê. We must turn this campaign into the places where the communes are reorganized; the people improve their defense with the self-organized struggle and find solutions to the problems.”
