DİYARBAKIR – In the indictment prepared against the Peoples’ Democratic Party MP Nursel Aydoğan, 103 years prison sentence has been sought for imprisoned Nursel Aydoğan. In the indictment, Nursel’s precious works on women her participation in March 8 events are shown as illegal activities.
Within the scope of the investigation carried out by Public Prosecutor of Şırnak, the Peoples’ Democratic Party MP Nursel Aydoğan was detained on November 4, 2016 and imprisoned. The indictment against Nursel has been prepared. In the indictment accepted by 2nd High Criminal Court of Şırnak, 103-year prison sentence has been sought for Nursel for “being member of an organization”, “making propaganda of an [illegal] organization”, and “opposing to Law No. 2911”, “inciting the people to hatred and hostility” and “inciting people to break the law”.
It is emerged that Nursel testified to prosecutor’s office and judge without a lawyer while she was detained in Şırnak. The indictment, Nursel is accused of her speeches during activities in Diyarbakır, Siirt, Batman, Mardin, Urfa, Elazığ and Şırnak between 2007 and 2016 and her alleged works for the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and Democratic Free Women’s Movement (DÖKH). In the indictment, the DTK and KCK are accepted as, “The Parliament of the PKK and KCK in Turkey”.

In the indictment, it is alleged that Nursel acted within the KCK Parliament between 2007 and 2010 in accordance with the instructions she received. Nursel’s works on women’s issues at the DÖKH are regarded as crime factors. Nursel’s participation in the March 8 event in Adana is shown as illegal activity.
