MARDİN – In the morning, 12 teachers were taken into custody in Kızıltepe after 15 teachers had been taken into custody the previous day in the town.
In the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, 15 teachers were taken into custody the night before. According to the reports, the teachers were taken into custody on charges of “making propaganda of an [illegal] organization” by citing their posts on social media. While 15 teachers are being kept in the police station, 12 more teachers have been detained on the same grounds in the morning.
The learned names of the teachers detained are as follows:
Erkan Erginoğlu, Derviş Ay, Ergin Çetinkaya, Abdülkadir Demir, Onur Talar, Beşir İldem, Mehmet Sıdık Urtekin, Yavuzhan Banipol Özçelik, Şahin Korkmaz, Filiz Özmen Kılıç, Eylem Çağlağan Karçı, Mehmet Aydın, Ekrem Uçkan, Bahri Çabuk, Burhan Bozdağ, Rojdan Otay, Muhuttin Aksu, Mehmet Palamut, Metin Oğuz, Sezai Bayram, Said Bavravi, Mehmet Yıldırım, Mahmut Damar and Sevgi Ateş.
