Curfew in Diyarbakır lifted but declared in Nusaybin

DİYARBAKIR/MARDİN – While the curfew in seven villages of Diyarbakır’s Lice, Hani and Kocaköy has been lifted, a new “curfew” has been declared in neighborhoods of Mardin’s Nusaybin district.


The curfew, had been declared by Diyarbakır Governorate on December 18 in Lice’s Güçlü and Gökçe villages, Hani’s Kırım, Gömeç and Yayvan villages and Kocaköy’s Yazıköy and Şaklat villages, was lifted lifted at 9 a.m. In these areas, military operation has been launched after the curfew.


That time, curfew has been declared in Akarsu and Yavruköy villages and the rural neighborhoods of Mardin’s Nusaybin district. In the statement made by Mardin Governorate, it is stated that a military operation will be launched in the region.
