VAN – The HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) and DBP (Democratic Regions Party) province and districts organizations held a press conference and drew attention to the lynch campaigns against their parties in the last days and said “No power can stop us from our rightful struggle”.
The HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) and DBP (Democratic Regions Party) province and districts organizations in Van drew attention to the attacks against their parties building all over Turkey after President Tayyip Erdoğan declared “national mobilization” by holding a press conference. The DBP Province Co-chair Sevinç Şeker, former deputy co-mayor of Edremit Nurhayat Çelik and administrators of the parties’ province and districts organizations participated in the press conference. The DBP Van administrator Ahmet Aygün said he AKP government has carried its anti-Kurdish policies beyond the border and underlined that the AKP government has dragged the Middle East into the swamp.
‘Lynch policies should be stopped’
Ahmet also drew attention to Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu’s recent statements and said Süleyman Soylu has carried out threat policies instead of resigning. Ahmet expressed that the lynch attempts against the Kurdish people and political parties increased after President Tayyip Erdoğan declared “national mobilization” and said, “The demand of people, who want to live in peace, democracy and stability is the abandonment of these understanding and politics. We hope the current ruling power return immediately from this mistake which slides the country into chaos. They should give up these war policies that had been tried and led to greater tragedies. We declare once again that we will continue our struggle for democracy, peace and freedom from this day forth. No power can stop us from our rightful struggle.”
