ANKARA – The Parliamentary Constitutional Committee has approved the constitutional amendment proposal that includes “the presidential system”.
Grand National Assembly of Turkey’s Parliamentary Constitutional Committee has approved the “the constitutional amendment proposal” that began to be discussed on December 20 and signed by the AKP 316 MPs. The talks on the proposal, including “the presidential system” continued for five days without interruption. The proposal, which was presented to the Parliamentary Speaker as 21 articles, reduced to 18 articles.
On the last day of the talks, the Parliamentary Constitutional Committee worked about 17 hours in order to approve the proposal.
